Stanley Kunick is quoted as saying:

"The deepest thing I know is that I am living and dying at once, and my conviction is to report that self-dialogue."

I share that conviction.

I was born in the Wisconsin River on a cold winter night.  There is no time between then and now.

I live in the village where I was born.  I take pictures and video and audio; I try to keep track of my words with writings and poetry and notes.  I grew up walking trap lines and hanging pelts in the basement. I helped track wounded deer in the snow.  I am a vegan, a girl, a human, a wife, a mom to an unschooled teen, and a conservationist.  I seek beauty in the mundane.  I like simplicity; I am a technophile.  I embrace contradictions.

Likes:  winter, Dorothy Parker, quantum mechanics, My Man Godfrey, an authentic life, science, ice-fishing shanty towns, modern design, Sweden, CocoRosie, ice, Rebecca, astrophysics, June Cleaver, gardening, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, eco-friendly living, old Hollywood, quantum mechanics, The Royal Tenenbaums, geology, and The Knife.

Dislikes:  summer, obligations, roses, copyright infringement, humidity, bleach, religion.
